A drive-by shooting in Brixton which left four people in hospital on Saturday has been called “an act of indiscriminate violence” by police. Shots were fired in the early hours on Coldharbour Lane in the south London area, leaving one 25-year-old man in hospital with life-threatening injuries. Three others – 21, 47 and 70 years old – were also taken to hospital, though their injuries have been assessed as not life‑threatening or life‑changing. A spokesperson for the Metropolitan police said no arrests had been made at this time but detectives were “working at pace to identify those responsible”.
