Vision Films has acquired the Jeff Bridges narrated documentary “In the Company of Wolves: An American Journey,” directed by Susan Kucera. The film will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 15 at the Olympia Theater. After Cannes, the film will have a limited theatrical release in the U.S., and will be available via transactional video-on-demand from July 17. Bridges, an Oscar winner with “Crazy Heart,” narrates the journey of wolves and other animals as co-travelers through American history. Bridges said, “It reminds us that the wild and the domesticated have always reflected the deeper story of who we are as a nation — and who we might yet become.” Bridges is using his compensation from the film to support several conservation organizations, including The Vital Ground Foundation, a land trust that protects and connects wildlife habitat in the Northern Rocky Mountains.…
