London bus and tram passengers will be able to travel all day on summer weekends for the price of a single fare, mayor of London Sadiq Khan has announced. Between 25 July and 31 August, a Weekend Hopper fare will allow unlimited bus and tram journeys on Saturdays and Sundays. Transport for London ( TfL ) said: “When you use pay as you go on buses and trams, our Weekend Hopper fare will give you unlimited bus and tram journeys on Saturdays and Sundays for the price of a single fare each day.” The promotion will run across six school holiday weekends, including the August bank holiday Monday, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the TfL Hopper fare. A single London bus fare is currently frozen at £1.75. Outside of the summer weekend promotion, the usual Hopper fares allow passengers unlimited bus and tram transfers within one hour for a single payment.
