As of May 2026, a typical solar panel system for a three-bedroom home in the UK usually costs between £6,500 and £9,000 fully installed. The final price will depend on the size of the system, the type of panels you choose, the complexity of your roof and the installer’s pricing. For many homes, that means a standard 4-5kW rooftop system costing roughly £6,500 to £8,000, while larger arrays, premium panels or more complex installations can push the price higher. Adding a solar battery increases the upfront cost, but can also change the long-term value of the system.
