Image courtesy of Treanor A conference room is an element of one of Treanor's recent projects, the renovation of the Topeka City Hall, which was constructed in 1939 under the Works Progress Administration. Treanor has been named the 2026 ENR Midwest Firm of the Year, an award based on a company's success in growth and revenue, innovation, support of the AEC industry and efforts to give back to its community. Established in 1981 in Lawrence, Kansas, the firm was founded during an economic recession by Michael Treanor in his house as a two-person practice focused on designing schools, churches and small commercial projects. It has since grown into a nationwide firm serving a range of commercial clients across the U.S. Treanor currently has 175 employees and was one of ENR’s Top 100 Green Design Firms in 2025.…
