Hurley , the global apparel and lifestyle brand, is releasing its capsule collection inspired by Keith Haring. The capsule blends iconic art with contemporary surf and street style. News of a capsule collection in the works was first reported in WWD last July. The capsule celebrates the legacy of the late artist and activist, reinterpreting his work through Hurley ’s signature Southern California aesthetic. Inspired by graffiti artists whose marks covered the city’s subway cars, Haring began to draw in white chalk over the black paper used to cover vacant advertising panels.
