A lot of the times, I feel the reaction is justified. But is it? Your brain is wired to react first and think later. Anger is fast. Reflecting on it is slow. Most of my anger does nothing for me. Philosopher Plato figured this out a long time ago. It gets better. His antidote to unnecessary anger is also a simple rule that can eliminate all that anger you do don’t need. He said, “ There are two things a person should never be angry at : what they can help, and what they cannot.” If you can fix it, do it. If you can’t, accept it. Either way, anger changes nothing.
