Several schools canceled or delayed classes Wednesday after El Paso County experienced one of the few winter storms the region has had this year. This time, in typical Colorado fashion, it happened in May. Winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories are in place across the mountains and higher elevation zones of southern Colorado, including El Paso and Teller counties Wednesday. Several school districts are closed, including Academy District 20, D-49 and Lewis-Palmer D-38.
