We had new tile flooring put in and then a plumber came to put to change our shut off valves and hook up the toilet and such.

The flange of the toilet sat where the original floor height was so probably 1/2 inch below the tile.

They said to replace the flange would require access from below and would be a lot more work so they said they were just going to use a jumbo wax ring. They didn’t use an extension as guy said he would have to run to a store as he ran out on his truck.

Is using just a jumbo wax ring going to be enough? It’s been about four hours and I don’t see any water coming out from below the toilet.
