I’m a military pilot and while we have a dedicated meteorology department, they are across base and usually deal more with the lowest layers we can encounter. Due to a mishap, I’ve been working with a state level emergency management agency and he had GR2 Analyst on one of the computers in the command center trailer and it blew me away. Most of my weather decisions have been based on radar overlays on websites like skyvector.com, which isn’t great. The GR Analyst doesn’t work on phones from what I’ve found, and most functions are beyond the scope of what I would be doing.
