Samuel Monroe Jr. , star of 1990s classic Black films Menace II Society and The Players Club , has been placed back on life support after showing signs of declining health. Last month, it was reported that the actor, 52, was diagnosed with MRSA pneumonia in addition to having a prolonged battle with meningitis, which is inflammation of tissues surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Monroe’s mother, Joyce Patton, called for prayers in a Facebook post and shared a picture of her son, who appeared to have been lying in a hospital bed. The actor began suffering from meningitis complications after it went undiagnosed and untreated for 8 months after he filmed a project in Las Vegas. Earlier this month, Monroe reportedly showed health improvement , including being able to stop dialysis along with the discontinuation of blood pressure medication and being able to breathe without the assistance of a ventilator for up to 4 hours.…
