An Alabama woman is behind bars after she allegedly told investigators that she killed her husband after growing frustrated with him for bothering her while she recovered from heart surgery. Sheri Mitchell-Clutts, 65, called 911 just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday to report that her husband Timothy Clutts had been shot. When Franklin County deputies responded to the couple’s home in Russellville, they found the 69-year-old man dead in a recliner from a single gunshot wound to the chest. Mitchell-Clutts initially claimed to 911 dispatchers that she had felt threatened throughout the day before the shooting, WAFF reported. But she later admitted to shooting her husband of 15 years, telling investigators she had simply become annoyed with him, according to Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver.
