They were also down a key defenseman. Brayden McNabb was given a five-minute major penalty for interference and issued a game misconduct after delivering a crushing check on Ducks’ forward Ryan Poehling midway through the first period. Poehling was laid out on the ice before being escorted to the locker room. The call was confirmed by video review and McNabb was ejected.
