Pfister Flowmatic Shower Valve I live in a development and my shower was leaking pretty hard when turned off. The shower set up is an Older Pfister Avante with Push/Pull On/Off handle. (Illustration 1 one not actual shower plate but shows the way it is SUPPOSE TO BE) Plumber stated it is Control Valve and ordered a Jones Stephens C07755 Flowmatic to replace. After he replaced, everything seemed wrong! If you look at illustrations. The correct way is to pull handle up and it opens. Turn counter clockwise from center point and it gets hotter, turn clockwise from center and it gets colder. Now handle does not come out at all to open. You turn only counter clockwise. It begins at hot and as you continue turn counter clockwise it gets colder (see illustration 2 - this is also my current shower plate). WTH did he do wrong?…
