My fiance recently got hired at a major pool cleaning company in GA. He’s been in training as a passenger in a truck that has a bad transmission and currently juts and feels dangerous to drive/ride in. It’s getting worse every day. He’s going to start driving it soon but has had a lot of terrible experiences with bad cars and is contemplating quitting the job just because of how uncomfortable he is to drive the car.

His boss refuses to take it to a shop, saying he can’t afford it or it’s too expensive. To me it definitely seems illegal or whatnot to force him to drive this car. Can he simply refuse? Can his boss fire him for refusing to drive it?
