Gotham FC in talks to move to NYCFC's new Queens stadium

Gotham FC might be on the move. The 2025 NWSL champions are exploring the possibility of relocating to New York City FC’s new soccer stadium in Queen s as soon as 2028. Sportico reported Wednesday that the clubs are in advanced talks about a deal. Several sources told The Post that nothing has been finalized. Gotham has called Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, N.J., home since 2021. They share the venue with the Red Bulls of MLS. The second phase of the Willets Point redevelopment plan includes a 25,000-seat soccer-specific stadium that will be home to the New York City Football Club. Courtesy NYFC NYCFC currently plays some of their matches at each of New York’s MLB stadiums. The new stadium, Etihad Park, which NYCFC owners are funding with $780 million, will be located next to Citi Field and is expected to open before the 2027-28 MLS season. But Gotham is considering becoming a fellow tenant of Etihad Park.…
