Several years ago, we planted a Tiny Forest in the Desert. I’m happy to share several plants no longer require human inputs…they are 100% adapted, established, thriving, and self-sustaining! 🌸 To be specific: here’s a “before and after” of our Desert Willows. They were barely 6 inches when we planted them! Who knew that an act of desperation and despair (digging the hole/trench by hand) would one day lead to the growth of these beautiful, expressive trees. In this age of climate catastrophe, choose to believe in Earthcare over Doomscrolling. Because somewhere, in the middle of nowhere, a Tiny Forest in the Desert continues to bloom. 🌞 submitted by /u/ofmyloverthesea [link] [comments]
