Pollard was ruled to have violated Article 2.3 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which deals with the use of audible obscene language during a match. The incident reportedly took place in the 19th over of the second innings during the Mumbai Indians versus Punjab Kings clash on Thursday, when Pollard allegedly directed abusive remarks at the fourth umpire.
