One of the biggest stories to follow within women's basketball over the past month is how Azzi Fudd is acclimating to the WNBA after the Dallas Wings selected her with the No. 1 pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft. Some felt like Fudd underperformed during the Wings' preseason games. And despite the praise that first-year head coach Jose Fernandez had about her during training camp, Fudd came off the bench during Dallas' first game of the 2026 regular season, which was against the Indiana Fever. Fudd was invisible for much of her time on the court that game, and ultimately finished with 3 points on 1 of 2 shooting from the field.
