I’m a checked bag girl, but I was tempted to become a carry-on only traveler while on a trip to Ecuador. I found out my luggage was left behind and wouldn’t make it to me for another 24 hours. Because of this mishap, I had to scramble to find something to wear in the meantime. Luckily, I had stashed a pair of pants and a tank top in my carry-on backpack. I wore this outfit to sightsee during the day and then re-wore the pants with a blouse I borrowed from a friend before heading out to dinner at night.  As a serial overpacker , that was the day I learned the art of traveling with clothes you can wear over and over again.
