Camera settings were at 1/800 shutter speed, F/2.8, ISO 100. I took this on my first outing as a would-be street photographer. I just happened to be at the right place and at the right time to find this couple sitting on the end of the dock. The lake was at a dead calm, with only the slightest ripple on the surface, which you can see in their reflection. The only aspect that was intentional was the ‘frame in frame’ and ‘rule of thirds’ composition.” Critique : “The leading lines and circular shapes in this image draw me inward to this special moment. At first glance, it is a quiet, stable moment and yet the strong shapes add energy and direction. This is a lovely photograph.” Below is a gallery of previous Reader’s Lens selections.
