May 8, 2026 - 8:14 pm Updated May 8, 2026 - 8:20 pm ANAHEIM, Calif. — Vegas Golden Knights captain Mark Stone tried to return after suffering a lower-body injury late in the first period of Game 3 against the Anaheim Ducks, but went back to the locker room and has not returned. Stone appeared to injure his groin late in the first period while the Knights were on the power play. He went to the locker room and did not play the rest of the power play. Stone returned to the bench in the second period. He skated during the media timeout, felt discomfort, and slammed his stick as he walked back down the tunnel. The 33-year-old recorded an assist on Shea Theodore’s goal 1:06 into the game for his fourth point in five games. This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
