A Mississippi father and newlywed was fatally shot in the head while he was fishing at a local park, as officials described his death as a “tragic accident.” Jacob Nitkiewicz, 31, was found dead from a gunshot wound at approximately 1 a.m. Saturday at Flint Creek Water Park, a recreational state park featuring a 650-acre lake for fishing, boating and swimming, located about 120 miles south of Jackson, police told the Sun Herald . Stone County Coroner Wayne Flurry told the outlet he believes the incident was a “tragic accident,” though an autopsy is pending. Jacob Nitkiewicz, a Mississippi father and newlywed, was fatally shot in the head while fishing at Flint Creek Water Park in Wiggins on Saturday.
