Hey guys,

I’m planning to get up on my roof myself (will be using Cougar Paws for grip) to install bird mesh/roofing guard around my solar panels.

One issue I’ve noticed is that the bottom edge of the solar panels (the side closest to the gutter) has very little clearance, so it looks pretty tight and hard to access. On top of that, my house is very close to the neighbor’s, so I can’t set up a ladder from below to work on that edge.

For those of you who do this professionally, how do you usually deal with that tight space? Do you just work with limited access or something else? Any tricks or techniques to suggest ?

Roof is metal (Colorbond style), fairly standard pitch.

Appreciate any advice before I get up there 🙏
