Culver City may let people walk around the streets with booze in hand

Just a month after Santa Monica revealed plans to revitalize the 3rd Street Promenade with the help of outdoor alcohol consumption , another city is following in its footsteps. Culver City unanimously approved an ordinance in April to create a Downtown Entertainment Zone, which would allow patrons of various businesses to purchase and consume alcohol outside from various places. Patrons would not be able to bring in outside alcohol, and they could only drink alcohol provided by vendors within that zone, during permitted events.
