When it comes to touring acts, here in the deep South we sometimes feel a bit neglected.

But popular New Zealand comedian Ben Hurley is once again proving that the South Island matters.

After the success of their southern tour in 2025, Hurley has teamed up once again with South Island producer and comedian Harriet Moir for a whistle-stop tour of Dunedin, Balclutha and Otematata.

Hurley is well-known among New Zealand audiences, having toured the country many times and has made regular television appearances on shows such as TaskMaster NZ7Days, The Project, 7 Sharp and multiple NZ Comedy Fest comedy galas.

Hurley said in a statement “I’ve been touring this country for 24 years and, would you believe it, there are some places I’ve still never been.

Hurley will be supported on stage by Dunedin comedian Harriet Moir.

The pair will perform at Dunedin’s Te Whare o Rukutia, 20 Princes St, next Friday, May 15, from 7.30pm.
