SpacetimeDB vs Convex - Performance Analysis Review

I first heard about SpacetimeDB from their recent talk in CMU Database Group's Postgres vs The World Seminar Series. Wanting to learn more, I went to their website and stumbled upon this comparison. The first topic is performance.

SpacetimeDB can achieve more than 100,000 transactions per second in scenarios where Convex can reach only around 100.

This benchmark vaguely alludes to "scenarios" without providing any context or further details. I've written before about the damaging effect of misleading marketing in the database industry and in case you haven't guessed, I'm about to do it again.

Convex responded with a blog post to clarify their position (making no mention of their competitor by name). SpacetimeDB assumed the post was directed at them and responded with their own unapologetic blog post which reads in part:

the article suggests that benchmarks are often apples-to-oranges

But this is not apples to oranges. It's more like comparing:
