Taking a Career Break to Pursue Music — Advice on Schools & Orchestras I’m an accountant with CPA and CFA qualifications, and I’ve been working in the corporate for a while. Recently, I’ve felt a strong pull to finally pursue music seriously, something I’ve always wanted to do but never had the chance to prioritize. At the moment, I can play the piano to a decent level and I’m planning to start learning the violin soon. I come from a non-music background, so I’m particularly interested in schools or programs designed for adults who want to transition into music later in life. My goal isn’t to make a full-time income from music. Instead, I’d like to take a meaningful break from my current routine, immerse myself in music, and develop strong skills. Ideally, I’d love to join an orchestra, participate in music tours, and experience that side of the musical world that I’ve always dreamed about.…
