Taking a Career Break to Pursue Music — Advice on Schools & Orchestras I’m an accountant with CPA and CFA qualifications, and I’ve been working in the corporate for a while. Recently, I’ve felt a strong pull to finally pursue music seriously, something I’ve always wanted to do but never had the chance to prioritize. At the moment, I can play the piano to a decent level and I’m planning to start learning the violin soon. I come from a non-music background, so I’m particularly interested in schools or programs designed for adults who want to transition into music later in life. My goal isn’t to make a full-time income from music. Instead, I’d like to take a meaningful break from my current routine, immerse myself in music, and develop strong skills.
