They're essentially set-top boxes but in a compact form factor, replacing those hefty, bulky devices that would always sit below the big screen in the living room. Almost all of these devices rely on a stable wireless connection, but oftentimes they provide subpar experiences due to instability either within the stick itself or on the home network. If either occurs, you'll often experience sluggish performance and frustrating lag.
