I know I know that this is probably becoming a cliche at this point, but I just spent probably 30 minutes in the doomer hell that is r/jobs, and you’d think that everyone is on their last $10. It’s scary. I’m looking to make a career change from education to statistics, was accepted into a masters program and everything, fully funded, financially feasible, etc etc. I’m not worried about the master’s, but I’m really worried about what comes after. I know that to be a Statistician I need a Master’s degree (I have a bachelor’s in math). And I know no one can predict the future. For those in the field, is it even still worth getting into as a younger person? I’m particularly interested in biostats but from what you read online it seems impossible to get into. submitted by /u/rileylorelai [link] [comments]
