A former top UN representative labelled a “narcissistic psychopath" by her late partner's disinherited son has left him with a £216,000 bill after winning a court will fight. Property developer John Saville Thurston died aged 81 in January 2022 - six months after suffering a major stroke - and left his entire £500,000 estate to his partner of five years, Hannah Shabathai, who he had met just months after the death of his wife, Elizabeth. But Ms Shabathai, 77 - who worked for the World Health Organisation for nearly 40 years and was awarded the WHO gold medal to recognise her long and distinguished service - later found herself in a court battle with his son, Jonathan Saville Thurston, 64.
