After Nick Pivetta exited his April 12 start against the Colorado Rockies with elbow stiffness, he was immediately shut down from throwing. A follow-up MRI revealed a flexor strain. Pivetta is expected to pitch again this season , but updates have been scant since manager Craig Stammen said Pivetta's absence would last "weeks and maybe months."
