Long Beach Police Department told the California Post that all officers — including the watch commander — were dispatched Sunday morning in response to what they described as a “suspicious circumstance,” as authorities ordered evacuations around the Redondo Beach Pier. The  Redondo Beach Police Department issued the evacuation order just after 11 a.m., urging anyone in the pier area to leave immediately due to ongoing police activity. “Police activity on the pier.
