Hi everyone, I have cleared all rounds for a company and is awaiting the compenstion calls now, i had a brief discussion with the CEO (as a last round) and he straight up asked me what number will make me happy, I told a number which was around 66% hike from my current comp in Base salary. He listened to me and then countered it with a 30% hike only with no stock options citing the reason that the company is not known for providing too much pay. I did not say anything. He said he can throw in some joining bonus to bridge the gap. In the end, he mentioned that he will see what he can do. But I feel 30% is too low, and even if i join with this salary I might still be distracted by getting better offers. I am actively interviewing in other organisations as well, but do not have a concrete offer as of now from any of them.…
