Meta reportedly made gigantic offers, including $100 million packages, amid the AI talent wars. Wang called it "an incorrect assumption" that money was the sole reason Meta poached some key members. Meta made some big splashes in the AI talent war, but the tech giant's AI chief isn't thrilled by the narrative that his team is a bunch of mercenaries.
