Decided to at least figure out what part i needed first so I walked into this small independent hardware store nearby, not a Home Depot, like an actual old school place with wood floors that smells like oil. Described the problem to the guy at the counter. He asked me two questions, walked to an aisle, handed me a $3.50 washer and explained exactly how to fix it. 15 minutes at home and done. That was the first time. I kept going back every time something came up and it was always the same. Guy loves explaining this stuff, never once tried to upsell me. He factors in the age of your house, your pipe type, all this context that YouTube just doesn't do.
