Edith Petrillo and Robert Fisher got married on Feb. 8, 1959, but were unable to spend the first night of their new life together because he was locked up at the District 7 police station in East Boston after their reception at Meridian Hall in Central Square ended in an all out brawl that left Fisher and three members of the wedding party under arrest - and one police officer injured. So instead of her new husband, the new Mrs. Fisher had only a ruined wedding cake turned upside down to contemplate. She was joined for part of that contemplation by her sister Margaret: If Margaret's left eye looks a little droopy, there's a reason, as the Record-American, from which these photos come, reported: Edith was married yesterday and had a fine reception until it was time to go, and then all hell broke loose, smashing the wedding cake, sending her husband to the calaboose, and forcing her to be a maiden for at least another 24 hours.…
