A charity shop volunteer disinherited by his mum after she became convinced he tried to murder his "black sheep" brother has won a High Court fight to share her £600,000 fortune. Retired electrician Richard Dalton, 68, had been due to split his mum Peggy Dalton's estate with brother Robert - who dubbed himself "the black sheep of the family"- and one of his nephews, before she dramatically changed her will shortly before her 2021 death. After telling will writers Richard had stolen £100,000 from her and attempted to kill his brother, the frail 93-year-old made a new will in November 2020, leaving almost all her £600,000 estate to Robert, 67, and his wife, Carly. But Richard sued, claiming Robert and Carly - who had moved in with Peggy and "isolated" her from the rest of the family - were behind his mum's "false beliefs," having lied to her about the fictional murder attempt in order to "coerce" her into making a new will in their favour.…
