I soon start a fully remote job and was excited to be digital nomading until seeing the company policy stating "work must be performed in your home state [in US]." I'm curious as to current nomads' experience - if your company doesn't allow you to work abroad, yet you do, do they simply not check your IP/location? A friend of mine who works IT (for a different company) said that a lot has changed in the past year or two, and that companies are much more aggressive on disallowing employees to be abroad.
