Dave Chappelle brought out his longtime friend, Ye , during a comedy show. TMZ reports that on Sunday night, Chappelle did a set at The Comedy Store in West Hollywood when he asked the artist formerly known as Kanye West to grace the stage, though he didn’t perform. Dave brought West up after finishing his stand-up set; apparently, as the Donda rapper approached, Chappelle joked, “Kanye West has lost more money than I've ever made.” The audience was ecstatic and cheered during Ye’s appearance, which saw him shaking fans’ hands and receiving a standing ovation. Phones were banned at the event, so, sadly, there’s no footage of the moment. In addition to Chappelle, Shane Gillis, Chris Rock , and Louis C.K. performed, just before Netflix ’s Netflix is a Joke comedy festival kicked off on Monday.
