‘Paranormal Activity’ Play Heads to Broadway With Jason Blum Producing

Logo text It’s going to be a spooky summer on Broadway as Paranormal Activity is haunting its way to New York. On Tuesday, it was announced that Paranormal Activity – A New Story Live on Broadway , the Olivier-nominated stage adaptation of the horror franchise, will hit Broadway for a limited 20-week engagement. Previews begin Aug. 14, with an official opening night set for Sept. 15 at the August Wilson Theatre, currently home to Dog Day Afternoon starring Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. Written by Levi Holloway ( Grey House ) and directed by Felix Barrett ( Sleep No More ), the production previously had sold-out runs in London’s West End, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco. The play follows an original story rather than adapting characters or couples from the films. Jason Blum , founder and CEO of Blumhouse and an original producer of the Paranormal Activity film franchise, has joined the producing team for the Broadway production.…
