For the third day in a row, Las Vegas will see another 100-degree day. Today’s forecast high is 104; the daily heat record is 104 (set in 1996). The average mid-May temperature is 87 degrees. On Monday, Harry Reid International Airport reached 104, breaking the record of 103 degrees set in 1990, said Jenn Soulat of the National Weather Service. It was the hottest day of the year. The airport recorded 100 on Sunday, 99 on Saturday and 100 on Friday, the first time Las Vegas hit the century mark in 2026. The all-time record high temperature in May for Las Vegas is 109 (set in 2003 and 1951). Soulat said a cooling trend will begin Wednesday as a front from the Pacific Northwest pushes through the region, causing breezy conditions in Southern Nevada.
