Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Weezer Among Recordings Added to Library of Congress' National Registry

The Library of Congress has unveiled the 2026 class of 25 recordings inducted into the National Recording Registry “based on their cultural, historical, or aesthetic importance in the nation’s recorded sound heritage,” including Taylor Swift’s 1989 , Weezer’s  The Blue Album , and Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).” Also among this year’s “audio treasures worthy of preservation for all time” are Beauty and the Beat by The Go-Go’s, The Wheel by Rosanne Cash, “I Feel for You” by Chaka Khan, Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music by Ray Charles, and the Chicago original cast album.
