This past offseason, Aaron’s announced that it would sponsor Zane Smith in 11 races this season: Both Atlantas, COTA, Phoenix (Spring), Both Bristols, Talladega (Spring), Michigan, Richmond, Daytona (Summer), and Charlotte (Fall). But since then, they also added Las Vegas (Spring), Watkins Glen, Dover, and Charlotte (Coca-Cola 600). What might be the reasoning behind this secret extension? Maybe FRM originally had sponsors that bailed out due to funding issues? Maybe Zane was getting enough good results in the Aaron’s Dream Machine for them to secretly add more races? Regardless.
