The Broncos on Tuesday waived running back Deuce Vaughn and cornerback Will Wright to make room on the roster for two tryout players they agreed to terms with after a weekend rookie minicamp.

The Broncos on Monday agreed to sign veteran wide receiver Michael Woods and undrafted rookie cornerback Paul Manning after they participated Friday through Sunday in the minicamp.

The 5-foot-6 Vaughn spent most of last season on Denver’s practice squad and signed a futures deal with the Broncos in January. After being a sixth-round pick by Dallas in 2023, he spent his first two NFL seasons with the Cowboys.

Vaughn was deemed expendable after the Broncos re-signed free-agent running backs J.K. Dobbins, Jaleel McLaughlin and Tyler Badie in March and selected Jonah Coleman in the second round of last month’s draft.

Wright went undrafted last month out of Tennessee. He signed with the Broncos last Friday but the Broncos ended up preferring to keep him Manning over him.
