The company owned by James Murdoch, the son of Rupert Murdoch, is in talks to buy parts of Vox Media. That includes New York magazine and a podcast division that is home to prominent hosts such as Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway. The Wall Street Journal’s Jessica Toonkel wrote , “The deal, which is through Murdoch’s Lupa Systems investment company, isn’t yet final, and could still fall apart, (sources) said.” The acquisition reportedly could be worth as much as $300 million. To be clear, James Murdoch, 53, does not share the same political views as his famous father, Rupert, and his older brother Lachlan, whose conservative media empire includes Fox News, the New York Post and The Wall Street Journal.…
