A male pedestrian died in a crash on Friday evening in east Las Vegas, police said.

The crash happened at 8:26 p.m. on North Lamb Boulevard, south of Kell Lane. The unidentified pedestrian, 30, was from Las Vegas.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police Department said “a male pedestrian was crossing Lamb eastbound, outside of a marked or implied crosswalk. A collision occurred when a northbound Dodge Journey struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was projected forward of the vehicle and onto the roadway.”

The pedestrian died at the scene. The driver of the Dodge remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Neither speed nor driver impairment appeared to be a factor, police said.

Besides the driver, the Dodge Journey carried six passengers under the age of 14, police said.

The pedestrian’s death marked the 41st traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction in 2026.
