Man denies murdering two women and raping another

A man has pleaded not guilty to murdering two women in London in separate incidents last year. Simon Levy, 40, from Tottenham, appeared via video link at the Old Bailey to enter his pleas. Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo, 54, was found dead in the stairwell of a derelict building in Walworth, Southwark in March and Sheryl Wilkins, 39, was found in Tottenham, north London in August. He also pleaded not guilty to two rapes, grievous bodily harm and intentional suffocation, all alleged to have been committed against a third woman in Tottenham in January 2025. Valencia-Trujillo was discovered on 17 March and Levy was arrested two weeks later before being released under investigation. While he was under investigation, Sheryl Wilkins was found dead in a north London car park on 24 August. Levy was arrested in September and subsequently charged with murder. In November he was also charged with murder over the death of Valencia-Trujillo, originally from Colombia.…
