I’m finally making the jump from the UK to Lisbon in early June after working remotely for the past few years. I’m 34, single, and I’ve been planning this for a while. Lisbon feels like the right balance, great weather, solid internet, and a big enough digital nomad scene without being completely overwhelming.

I’ve already sorted the D7 visa and found a place to rent in the Alfama area for the first couple of months. The only thing left is the actual move.

Has anyone here made the move from the UK to Lisbon (or Portugal) recently? How was the whole relocation process in practice? Any surprises with cost of living, finding long-term housing, co-working spaces, or just settling in day-to-day? Any tips you wish you’d known before you left?
