Hello, I am a somewhat beginner who owns a Meade 114EQ-ASTR purchased years ago (and gotten a lot of good use). Now that I am more stable financially, I'm looking to buy a better setup that I can automate (I have a software background). My 8yo has a ton of interest so I'm trying to get a good setup where we can both take pictures of planets, maybe some nebula, the moon, and also physically see it. Here's what I was planning on getting (I'm in Canada): Svbony Telescope MK127 Maksutov-Cassegrain OTA - F9382C Sky-Watcher AZ-GTi Mount - S21110 ZWO ASI664MC 4.15MP USB 3.0 Colour Camera - ASI664MC Optolong L-eNhance Dual Narrowband Filter (H-Alpha and H-Beta/O-III) (or do I need the 1.25"? I am in a heavy light polluted area) Raspberry Pi 5 I already have with something like astroberry as it's back alive Any thoughts on this setup? Appreciate any help. Thank you. submitted by /u/suckfail [link] [comments]
